Dyutkovo village

Dyutkovo village is situated 3 kilometres from Zvenigorod at the right bank of the Storozhka river flowing into the Moskva river. The village has rather picturesque surroundings and special location: it is situated at the river curve, at the bottom of a deep hollow which slopes are covered with pine wood.

In the well-known sources Dyutkovo was mentioned for the first time in 1558 when it was the part of Nikifor Ivanovich Zabolotskiy’s, the boyar’s son estate. Unfortunately, the XVI-XVIII century history of Dyutkovo has not been studied extensively and we can mention only some its milestones. According to the writer’s book, Gavrila Ilich Odintsov was the owner of this land in 1624. In 1704 Dyutkovo settlement belonged to the family estate of Rodion Saburov. In the middle of XVIII it belonged to its grandchildren – the guard’s captain-lieutenant Mikhail Andreevich Saburov and sub-lieutenant Aleksei Andreevich Saburov. In 1786 the maiden Anna Mikhailovna Saburova owned 22 local bond souls.

At the end of the XIX - beginning XX centuries Dyutkovo turns into a summer location. Lots of music world representatives came here; in the 1880s I.I. Levitan visited Dyutkovo when he rested in the neighbouring Savvinskaya sloboda. He was impressed by Dyutkovo picturesque surroundings which reflected on his works of that time. The artists A.E. Arkhipov and A.K. Savrasov came here as well.

The local sightseeing places include the village location, pinewood slopes resembling Swiss landscape, Olympus mountain or Taneev’s runaway where you can see the most beautiful view of the village in which I.S. Taneev liked to rest, you can see his summer house where he lived and died.
